In the mid-1980's I produced a number of cover and interior illustrations for a dark fantasy short fiction magazine called Borderland — this is one of those images. Leviathan was produced in 1985 in black and white acrylic — I added the green tone later to an electronic scan of the original in Adobe Photoshop. The original painting is still in my possession.
